Bruno Mars is officially back. On Friday, February 27, 2026, the acclaimed singer-songwriter released his new album The Romantic, marking his first solo studio record in nearly ten years.
Titled The Romantic, the album arrives with nine tracks that showcase Mars’ signature blend of romantic soul, retro influences and smooth vocals. At just over 31 minutes in length, the record delivers a concise but heartfelt musical experience that doesn’t overstay its welcome.
To celebrate the album’s release, Mars also unveiled the official music video for his newest single, “Risk It All.” In the video, he performs alongside a mariachi band and portrays a story of love and commitment, getting married and living out a romantic life with his partner.
The opening track of The Romantic continues Mars’ journey as a storyteller of love. Through buttery smooth vocals and lyricism that explores devotion and longing, he sets the tone for a deeply emotional album.
The new album follows the earlier release of “I Just Might,” a retro-funk single that set the stage for this long-awaited comeback. With groovy guitar layers, disco-pop influences and feel-good rhythms, the song helped build excitement among fans for the full project.
Although Mars has been quieter as a solo artist in recent years, he hasn’t disappeared from the music scene. During his time away from solo work, he collaborated with other artists, including chart-topping singles and award-winning duets. Fans may remember his performances with artists like Cardi B, Ed Sheeran and Lady Gaga, as well as his Grammy success with the superduo Silk Sonic alongside Anderson.Paak.
The Romantic Tour
Excitingly for fans, The Romantic won’t just live in headphones and speakers — Bruno Mars is taking it on the road. The Romantic Tour will begin in Las Vegas in early April. Anderson .Paak will join as DJ Pee Wee, and supporting artists including Leon Thomas, Raye and Victoria Monet are set to appear at select shows.
The tour will take Mars across North America, Europe and beyond, visiting cities like Toronto, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Madrid, Milan and London. He will also return to more U.S. stages before concluding the tour in Vancouver, British Columbia, in mid-October.
